Skoda Roofbars fitment on Estate...

Featured Replies

Question for owners of the above...

Manual says "The front transverse carrier is to be set 10mm from the edge for the cover of the longitudinal carrier"

Then in graphical form it stipulates that the distance between the bars (inside gap if I read correctly) should be 700 - 800 mm. The minumum I can manage is 740mm due to the location of the roofrail support. I need it to be minimum 720 to fit my roofbox!! (and that might be a stretch - 710 would probably be better...)

Do you suppose/do you know if the 10mm in the manual is intened as a minimum (and something was lost in translation) or an absolute. I don't fancy going out and spending 200+ more notes on another roofbox for the sake of 2 or 3 cm...

Churs,
