Octavia VRS Mk4 - real life MPG

IanVFR750 · Sunday at 14:062 days

Hi - I'm looking at selling my 18 plate VRS estate ( diesel) 185BHP which gives me regular 45 - 52 mpg (depending on journey type). I'm currently looking at some 24/25 plate Mk 4's ( petrol obviously ) at 240/260 BHP and was wondering what the real world MPG figures might be compared to the Skoda figure of 40. I've always found most manufacturer figures are always very optimistic to say the least. Thanks - Ian.

Engine sounds like old transit van after timing belt change --- 2020 Octavia 2.0 TDI ( DSTA / EA288 EVO )

I bought a 2020 Octavia with 2.0 TDI ( DSTA / EA288 EVO ) and DSG DQ381. I drove around for couple of weeks and everything was good, engine didn't make weird noises etc. I was actually surprised how smooth mild and quiet engine sounded for a diesel. I then went to Škoda dealer and got the timing belt, water pump replaced as kilometrage was just over 120 000km and 6 years had passed. At first I did not notice anything but slowly I started hearing more and more different noises coming from the eng

Felicia MPI: Strange Front-End Noise – Brakes & Bearings Replaced

Kastek · yesterday at 06:511 day

Hi everyone, I have a Skoda Felicia MPI, and I have been trying to diagnose a strange noise coming from the front of the car for quite a long time. I have attached a video so you can hear the noise. The noise sounds like a metallic scraping or rubbing noise. It does not happen all the time. Sometimes it starts while driving at around 60 km/h, and other times it starts at around 80 km/h. The most noticeable thing is how the noise changes when I turn the steering wheel: When the noise starts, turn

Tailgate struts

Grumpy Geaser · 4 hours ago4 hr

Hello Looking for advice on where to source replacement tailgate struts for a 2017 Citigo. The units currently on the car no longer hold up the tailgate and it falls back so looking for a good on line supplier. Local Europarts way too expensive.
