For safety’s sake, i would like to add rear DRLs - i think they should be standard, like on my previous car, a Volvo.

There are suitable vertical surfaces on the rear bumper below the reflector to fit separate lamps, but

i’m wondering about how best to do the wiring.

Does anyone know if there’s an ignition controlled circuit in or near the boot to tap into? If there isn’t, where would be the best place?

You can program the car to have 'Scandinavian DRL' on.

This will turn your front DRL, rear side and number plate lights on when the ignition is turned on.

I did this to one of my cars using OBDEleven.
