Try unplugging the MAF sensor, that appears to share fuse 7.

Still no luck with it unplugged I am getting an engine code for the maf sensor though and also a communication (p0600) not sure if that’ll help

I'm assuming the car doesn't have an oil level sensor in the sump? That would be on fuse 7 if present.

If not, check for wiring damage in the vicinity of the MAF connector and the 14 way connector adjacent to the left (UK nearside) suspension turret, where the feed from fuse 7 comes through pin 11 on a black/yellow wire.

If none found, try unplugging the two halves of that 14 way, to establish whether the short is before or after that point.

List is what I have told you already:

Power steering pump

MAF

Oil level/temperature sensor if fitted.

There could also be wiring damage shorting the black/yellow wire to chassis (or even another wire possibly).

Don’t think I do haven’t checked if not what’s the way forward because I am also getting a code from the obd for the maf but unplugging that connector has stopped the fuse does that mean it’s on the other side of the connector (female) or closer to the battery
