Cheers Lummox!!

I put one on my car it its well worth it

Deffo improved the engine response and ya gotta love that intake noise

looks very easy to do, and can appreciate why it would work, but doesnt it operate under the assumption that the engine is short of air in the first place?

On top of that, if you look through the trumpet from the grille side there seems to be an enormous restriction blocking half the trumpet, regardless of if you fit the larger trumpet and pipe or not.

Short of air, probably at higher RPMs/speeds, yes. I haven't done this mod. yet but I'm sure I will, once I get by Rs down to the SEAT dealer.

You can Dremel the "flap" off it. Downside is alleged, more crud gets sucked or thrown in. Hence more need to replace or clean the air filter.

Rather than discuss the pros/cons on this thread, why not carry on one of the many other existing ones?
