Newbie needing advice

Featured Replies

I'm looking at purchasing a VRS in the either form, but not to sure the pro's and con's. I currently have a 1.8T Passat (standard 150bhp) will i notice any real difference with the Octy mk1 over the Passat.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello adogillo and welcome :)

My knowledge is limited to what I learn from here and Top Gear  I asked a general question here though I'm sure a more specific response will arrive re the direct comparison you ask for :)

Hi, and welcome

my dad drives a 1.8t estate passat and ive drove it a few times, the driving experience is totally different. you will deffinatly notice the different. the 30 extra bhp is great, but doesnt feel as aggressive as the passat, but sounds a hell of alot better.

the reason its not as aggressive is due to the softer suspension on the passat. being softer the car pulls and shoves you back into your seat when you floor it. its only when you drive the vrs, feeling the road from the harder suspension and using the power, hearing that engine that you experience that better drive. mine is only a std setup and i love it.

a newboy myself, one months ownership now.
