car alarm

Featured Replies

Do you need to activate the alarm from new - or should it just work? Also, should it go off if the drivers window is smashed (locked with a single click on the remote). Finally, is there any way to check if the alarm works?

Cheers, D

What kind of Skoda is it? Is the Alarm a factory one , or a retro fit? If its a Factory fit one like mine , it is set when you lock the door with one push of the remote. If you have your Owners manual , there is a section in there which deals with the factory system. If it is a retro fit , then all I can sugest is that you contact whichever manufacturer you need to and order an instruction manual , tho you will probably have to prove you arent a tea leaf first!!

to test the alarm , sit in the vehicle and lock the doors , wait for approx 30 seconds then wave your arms about , this should activate the alarm , obviously press the button on the remote to unlock/turn the alarm off

it's a vRS - factory fit alarm. That's a cracking idea about flapping about - inside the car - LOL - I'll give it a go, Cheers!
