Hello from a Skoda family!

Featured Replies

Hello! Having had only cars with variations of the Audi/VW TDi engine since they were first released the Audi 80 we have graduated to Skoda ownership!

We owned a 02 Fabia TDi and a 02 Octy Tdi but now we have an 04 Fabia VRs and a 06 Superb 2.5 TDi. All have been fantastic vehicles and we're now turning over in our minds the possibility of trading the 04 Fabia VRs for the new Octy VRs Diesel. The only complaint I have about our Skodas is the terrible material of the seats in the Fabia VRs. It looks terrible and has been cared for quite well. I suppose a good valet would bring it up OK.

Enough for now, but one thing, are there Skoda dealers here who are recommended for their good trade in deals IE the Fabia VRs for an new Octy Diesel VRs?

Cheers.

Steve.

Welcome to Briskoda , you certainly have had a good selection of cars!

Got an excellent trade in against list at Lightcliffe Skoda in Huddersfield, that was for a LK estate against new vRS. Simpsons at Colne will do a great deal on the list price but of course the trade in will drop. Try both and maybe sell private to take advantage of discount? (Happy to reccomend either dealer)

Thanks all! Doubt I'd get a discount on a Octy vRS Diesel? I'll be looking for a good part ex. I think.

Drive the Deal (who I ordered myFabia with) have allready got the vRS deisal on offer! £17371.59p but don't offer px. You will have to weigh up the best price with dealers, some will discount new car, others will inflate px, a good private sale and a deal such as DTD/ simpsons will allways be best bet, but not nescacarilly the easiest or quickest. The Furby I only had a £100 motor to offload so went to DTD/ simpsons, whilst with the octy I wanted over 10K for the px'er which would imo have taken a lot of getting private. At the end of the day if you think you have got a good deal then you have got a good deal, iyswim.

Hi, and welcome
