Does anyone have an English Owner's Manual

Featured Replies

Mine is pretty much unreadable. I know Skoda is supposed to be a budget brand, but you'd think they could employ a native English speaking proof reader.

Does everyone else have the same problem?

Depends what you mean by problem! It is a little broken in places, but by and large is understandable. You should have seen VW manuals in the 80s!

I'd have expected it to be in good English. There's not really any excuse these days. They don't seem to have a problem with the sales brochures!

But the sale brochures are produced and printed in the UK. The manuals are written in Czech (or German in parts) and then translated. The majority of it is understandable and use specific terms rather than what we would generally call things (i.e storage compartment instead of glovebox), but I don't have a promlem with it.
