Removing wiper arm, motor and replacing with window bung

Featured Replies

I'd like to remove my rear wiper completly to clean up the lines at the back of the car.

It seems though that Octavias without rear wipers have rear windscreens with no hole. So short of changing the rear screen for one of these does anyone know where I can but a suitable plastic blanking plug to fill the hole in the screen when I remove the wiper arm.

Also will I need a bung to put in the rear screen washer pipe? Or is it possible to dis-connect the rear washer pipe from the washer tank at the front of the vehicle?

 Sorry for my disbelief. Its a functional part. Why remove it? I would seriously reconsider your decision and have your 'bumps felt' ;)

The fag lighter is a function part, doesn't mean it's needed :D

Not sure about the size, but have you considered the blanks used for filling holes in sinks (kitchen etc) when they're not used for taps. That (assuming it's the right size) and a good gob of clear mastic should sort it.

This is fairly popular on the Golf Mk4 so I would suggest a search on a Golf Mk4 forum will reveal what you need.

I'm on a bit of a mission to smooth. I'll simply coat the rear screen with lots of Rain-X every few weeks.

Yeah it's a popular VW/Leon mod and wondered if anyone know.

Will have to check out the ukmkiv's forum :)

Im doing the same on the Polo, but ive got a trim piece that I need to fill in.
