I have finally taken the plunge and laid down my hard-earned beer vouchers to p'chase one shiny new Fabia vRS (in black with cruise). I'm a leetle excited about it and I can imagine that I'll be more than a bit smiley-and-bouncy when I collect.

So, I'm asking for you help. No, not for your spare valium, the doctor has already passed me a couple of tonnes of that. Could anyone give me some pointers on things to check before I accept the vehicle? :magnify:

when i went for mine a lot of the greese was still on from the docks so make sure the valeting has been done correctly, i took the cash back and told them i'd come back in an hour.

If you really want to find something they havent done but should have they are supposed to fit a base to the rear seats so the sponge isnt visible when lifted, as only a few people on here have a car where this has actually been done you could lift the rear seat and shout "OI WHERES MY PLASTIC SEAT BASE" might think your taking the p*ss a bit though!

knew someone once who went to use the horn and their 14 day old 205 gti....did not work.....wasnt even fitted!......so much for the dealer pdi

check all options paid for are fitted and working .

thoroughly check the bodywork for any damage however insignificant because if you notice something after you get home that hasn't been mentioned at handover you will struggling to prove it was there when you picked it up , the same goes for the interior , someone on here recently had to deal with the top of the dash having a 6" slice in it , iirc he saw it after he got home , also check the seats aren't creased , a pain to get rectified ,

also make sure the dealer goes through all the features of the car with you , as well as servicing requirements , i was told when i picked mine up that it was on 20k service schedules , obviously incorrect , anyway good luck and enjoy your new car .
