Newbie q's on Octavia Blueline..

Featured Replies

Hi folks, I have been looking at an Octavia Blueline to replace my Vectra Sri company car (wanted a Furby vRS, but my bossman says it aint big enough, DAM), anybody own one ? Also I have seen these plug in boxes to boost power and torque on ebay, anyone tried these on a 90 bhp Octavia at all - or is it true these are just the resistor mod in a plastic box ?

I have arranged a test drive next week - never owned a diesel before, and as I will have the car for 4 years I dont want to make the wrong choice. How comfortable do you guys find the seats etc for a long drive ?

Thanks,

Colin.

The mods you see on e-bay for 20 quid or so are usually just cheap resistor things that cause overfuelling.

I find the seats pretty comfortable for long drives, certainly compared with the new Vectra's. My only criticism of the Octavia's is that there's too many adjustments, so it can take a while of experimenting to get it right.

Don't forget the Blueline also comes in a 1.6, which will probably drive nicer than the diesel. Only advantage of the diesel is fuel economy.
