Best way of transferring contacts between Samsung & Nokia?

Featured Replies

Need to shift all my contacts, and their associated notes, email addresses, various contact numbers etc, from my N70's phone memory to a Samsung E900.

Answers on a postcard for the easiest way? :D

Does Samsung's 'PC Studio' sync with Outlook? (not installed it yet)

I'm not aware of a way of Bluetoothing the whole lot across, and I'm not sitting here doing them one by one

Suggestions, please.

Thanks,

Steve

when i transferred mine from bengies old 6680(?) to my e900, i "marked all" and sent them via bluetooth

Does it not have a bluetooth 'transfer all' option?? I know my N91 has and the P910i before that did too?

Will take another look then, perhaps I missed it.

Thanks guys - marked all contacts, then sending them via Bluetooth did the trick. Pretty quickly too, considering the number involved.

Will load that Samsung software on later too, see if it's any good...

It isn't ;)

Also found that the older versions can't co-reside with the newer versions and the latest one doesn't support both my phones :(

Barsteward!

Has it got any Outlook syncing ability though?

that's just plain **** that :thumbdwn: you'd expect at least one or the other...

Ahem, check out FMA, Float's Mobile Agent.

It's open source / on sourceforge ( = free ;) ) and it works great. I use it to sync my outlook contacts with my phone via bluetooth and it works a charm, although it can be a bit fiddly to understand how it manages contacts at first, but as it's free, it's worth a try :)

edit clicky :D
