Why is it that when I click User CP, the list of threads to which i'm subscibed that have new posts are displayed ok but sometimes if I was last to post on a thread it also shows up too. Just wondered.

If you use list subs then it will show all subscribed threads. If you just want all new threads then use the 'new posts' link in the middle at the top of the page
