1998 GLi engine flat spots :(

Featured Replies

the sparks you put in did they have three tip instead of one tip on the top of the plug ???? if not then you need to muliti-tipped spark plugs, this point raised is a good one due to the fact my parents had single tipped in thiers and it was acting quite wierd..... a good point indeed :D

well my felicia gets better and better,

just spent all day with dad trying to change the timing chain (my god am I glad I did!!!! All the teeth on the sprockets had been 'torn off' Ie it was almost a bare wheel with no teeth! And the timing chain itself was unbelievably loose! Unfortuanately the small sprocket was too small to fit over the shaft :( So anybody with a rattly felicia may wanna give their timing chain a good check over (WARNING ITS A PIG OF A JOB) we ended up having to drop the engine to get the timing chain cover and cam wheel off :(
