Drivers seat wear on vRS

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm sure this topic was mentioned a while back but I'd like any advice you guys can offer. I've done about 7.5K and the drivers seat is fraying where the leather and mesh meet towards the front of the seat. I'm taking it back to the dealers to have them look at it with a view to getting the cover replaced under warranty. I know a few of you guys have done this already and I was wondering did you have any hassles with your dealers? Is there anything I should mention? Has the problem recurred for those who have had this replaced?

rgds,

Rik.

All three of the RS's on our fleet had this trouble, and the dealer sorted it without a quibble. I think we had the usual wait for parts, though.

before i sold the RS, horners were going to sort out the same problem on mine with no bother whatsoever.

I had mine replaced by the dealer at around 5000 miles , handled under warranty , no problem at all. Now done 10600 miles , there is no sign of the problem re-occurring.
