Servicing Query...

Featured Replies

Since getting my Octy back at the beginning of March, I have covered about 14500 miles to date.

The car is set for variable servicing intervals, but what kind of mileage should I expect to get before the service light comes on?

I anticipated it coming on at around 12000 miles!

Starting to wonder if the computer has forgotten, lol :D

Any advice would be appreciated!

From your name I'm assuming it's a 1.9TDI 110.

I got about 27'000 miles off my last service, but that is mostly m/ways and a small bit of town driving.

I got 19K before 1st Service, and I'm currently on 38K with no warning of second service due. Tempted fate there ;)

19K before my light came on, got it serviced on it's first birthday as a present with just over 20k on.

Oh yeah, sorry mine is a MKI i assumed yours was too from name, if you are a MKII then the engines are different so i doubt my info is relevant

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the advice, so i'm guessing around 19K then! I do about 80 - 90 % motorway driving and it is a new octavia, so MkII

Cheers though!

If you have Maxidot, and push the button normally used to reset the trip counter while the engine is off but the key is in, you will see the expected service mileage.

I have got a 2.0 TDI octavia estate, and I have covered about 16.000 km. The computer indicates service in 7500 km.

I don't know if it is posible to show the expected service mileage in cars without maxidot...

...Sorry for my English...

Regards
