Featured Replies

what software do i need to use to make a picture suitable to use as my avatar , i downloaded a program called avatar resizer but its not to good as can be seen in above pic , can it be done on standard Microsoft photo editor or do you need photoshop or something similar , i've got Ulead photo editor but it doesn't seem to have any facillity to resize to avatar size , why cant i use the thumbnails that are shown on the Ulead software ?

Just use paint.

Image -> Stretch & Scew and enter a % of how much want to reduce the size.

cheers Harry , just having a mess about now

what is the size of the avatar supposed to be please??

last time i changed mine it came out wrong and one of the moderators changed it for me.

Max size is 100x100 pixels - it tells you on the profile page where you upload the avatar!

Ric04vrs - what's wrong with yours? Looks fine to me ...

I use irfanview for image resizing.

Much better than paint and it's free

it looks fine now but the previous one was done by the avatar resizer and was very pixelly (?) , when i originally started posting on here , the actual website software resized my track day pics down to avatar size ,but then it stopped and i remember i few people being caught out by this with huge pictures as their avatar , i think my new one is the wrong size now though :(

Height is fine (91px) but a bit wide. Now you need to learn about cropping :) - or use this one:
