Help Need Plz :(

Featured Replies

My car has started beeping 3 times and flashing the (!) symbol on the dash...

This mostly happens when going around corners briskly :(

The manual says to take it to a dealers.

Has anyone ever had this "fault" ??

What do you think caused it?

Any help is greatly appreciated :)

I think what you mean is the brake warning light (same light when you put the handbrake on?).... check the brake fluid, it could be low setting off the warning when you go round corners. ;)

Sounds like low brake fluid to me.

As the pads wear down the pistons move further out of the caplier and the fluid takes up the space. ;)

The level will also drop if there's a leak. ;)

thats a good point:)

also it shares the same fluid as the clutch hydaulics so wear in the clutch could also cause the fluid level to drop.

But only to the level of the clutch take off and thats quite high. Its a safety feature so if you were to get a leak you run out of clutch before you do brakes.

I think it might be an idea to check your pads aren't down to metal.

Clever!

Also check your slave brake cyclinders for any leaks, that will also be a source of loosing fluid... as well as pipes etc

Also it is indeed important to keep your fluids up.... I try at leaset 10 - 20 pints a week, to ensure proper running
