Turn speakers up for 2nd gear lift off on my first run. I love that noise. no dump valve involved in making it either. Rest of the vid is just "bag-o-spanners" tickover and some chuffing exhaust sounds. For comparison. 3mb vid, so small enough for anyone to download.

It's a shame you cant get rid of the 'wind' noise, you know the constant shhhhhh,

cos behind that is actually quite a nice deep rumble, i've noticed my Superb sounds quite nice like that from inside sometimes, but outside all you get is the clatter and shhhhhhh!!

Well, I think to preserve the turbo, there's some kind of wastegate actuation. This is what makes the chatter on boosting up, and the more audible wooshing on lift off. I love it.

That sounds quite [certainly not quiet...] respectable for a derv. Nice!

sounds like a diesel with a duff exhaust that's kinda what bengie's nova sounded like, only it was much louder :eek: and it didn't have that (cool) waste gate type noise :(
