vRS On Holidays

Having just spent two weeks in France with a fully laiden boot with all our stuff for camping + two adults and two children when it struck me as to what this car is REALLY good at!.

To swallow all our gear and seat us all in comfort then waft us all down the wonderful French Autoroute system, yet whenever a burst of accelleration was needed, a quick dab of the right foot even in 6th gear produces seamless torque and very rapid progress, absolutely brilliant and what this car was made for.

Have to say though that on our return to Blighty the roads here do have a terrible adverse effect on road noise + my car is an absolute state after enduring two weeks of sand and sticky sweet wrappers, but that's another story to be posted elsewhere!.

We too had a wonderful week in France with our 1.9 Octy II estate. Swallowed everything, returned 56.5mpg including a trip to Cité Europe where we loaded up on wine. We broke open all the wine boxes and put the bottles on their sides under the 'false floor'' in the boot and then loaded everything else on top. You can get nearly 50 bottles under there!!!

A FANTASTIC CAR!

All from a standard spec car as well...;)

But I must say, when I bought mine the big win was that it appeared to be a car for all things...
