I got my Fabia Elegance 1.9tdi at the weekend and I've already decided my cars got to be lowered. However as I've never done anything like this before I could use some advice- I did some searches, but I got a little confused!

I'd like to lower the car 25 - 40 mm (depending what it looks like when I get some new wheels) What are my options for lowering. Do I just replace the springs, or do I have to replace the dampers as well?

Can I mix and match dampers and springs, i.e could I use VRS dampers and Eibach springs to achieve the drop I want, or would I have to buy Eibach dampers?

My personal recommendation would be the Eibach springs and dampers Pro-kit. Set up for the car, don't compromise the ride and drastically improve the handling and looks. Will drop the car 35-40mm

I'll look into getting the Eibach Pro Kit. I was looking at it yesterday, but wasn't sure if it was what I needed...

They're the standard 14" alloys that come on the Elegance. Replacing them at some point was on my list, but I didn't have the car long enough in the end!
