Hi Folks, as said by others, really useful site, lots of great bits of info about my Motor I never knew...!

I First Drove a 4x4 Octavia Diesel in France nearly 3 years Ago on a skiing trip. I thought at the time "this is a great car, I am going to buy one of these as soon as I get home". Only to get home and find out the diesel version was not available in UK. Had to wait 3 years until the new Model was released in UK with Diesel Option. Had my Car 6 Months now and love it (apart from first gear being 'just a touch' too short for tarmac use !).

Welcome to Briskoda. First gear on the (old) 1.8T 4X4 is also desperately short - and even more so when the car is remapped.
