Is there anybody here that uses speed camera detection units on their Octavia II and in particular, the Road Angel plus?

If so, I have a question.

When I had the Fabia, I had it placed in the centre of the windscreen just above the dashboard, but would prefer it to be located on the drivers side in the corner on my Octavia.

Has anyone had any experience of this and if so, has it picked everything up ok?

The whole point of putting it in the middle is that the police tend to try and zap your number plate in the middle as its usually the straightest part of the car. That usually means the road angel is best stuck in the middle just proud of the dash, rather than at the side.

I have my Talex hard wired in on my mk2 octy vrs, it's in the right corner of the windscreen, can see it perfectly and picks up sat's no problem. Talex is small and "flat" though.

Out of interest, was it difficult to hard wire? How easy was it to hide the wiring? I'm looking to hard wire a hidden cigarette adaptor to my (soon to arrive) Octy to allow a hardwired look to my SatNav unit.
