I have a shelf that can be over te equipment, Vented to stop over-heating but made from 1/2" MDF covered in carpet. When its used you cant tell that there is anything there ;)

Very neat, I hate to think what it looks like underneath.

Neat indeed.

Not to mention the dogs

Its been a long time since my audio days, but essentially the boot became a no go for anything. I had sub grills, so I could stick some shopping bags in front of them, without worrying about a 6 pinter puncturing one the JLs. :D :speaker:

Looks like a nice neat install, and with the cover to go on top, at least you could still carry a fair boot full, even if you've probably lost about 8 inches of boot height?

Is that a teeny weeny W7? Nice tidy install. Need to get round to fitting mine really. Going to see if I can fit the amps under the front seats so that the only thing in the boot is the sub. That way if I need to put the seats down or get at the spare its just a case of take the box out.

How do you get to the spare wheel?!

Good man, i'm doing the same. Can of tyre weld at the ready should I need it.

nice install, given me ideas for the wifes car!!

and you don't really neeeed a spare?? :-)

Nah you dont need one ;)

Half new cars out these days have binned them anyway.

Tyreweld for me too, although my spare wheel well is full of gas not ice. :D

Yep 8", now dont all you people start giving me the '8" is that all'. This sub replaced my 12" w2, and if far better sounding and much more repsonsive. :D

What happens if the side wall blows out? Tyreweld isn't going to fix that! ALways wondered about these sprays. Aren't you only supposed to drive on them for a little while afterwards? And can the tyre be repaired still after using it, or do you need a whole new tyre?

What happens if the side wall blows out

very nasty' date=' normally makes you go sideways and smashes you into somthing, nomrally recks the rim totally too!

And can the tyre be repaired still after using it, or do you need a whole new tyre?

yes they can be repaired in the normal way by removing the tyre from the rim after using tyreweld. and putting a tyre repair 'patch' on the inside.

Same here

Nice install man....

Yep, but the sound and bass is better than the 12" i took out

Tempting fate there. I have managed to get two nails in tyres on my Octy since new, one only last week. Now before that I hadn't had a puncture in years, must be 9 years plus, so I'm waiting for the third then I should be ok for years to come

Well, with a can of Tyre weld and good old AA cover i should be ok....... (he says touching wood, with his fingers crossed)

I can see one blue wire out of place. Seriously though, very nice, I have been known to be an 8" sub man myself, much better imo for sql.
