Engine Management Light

Featured Replies

The Engine Mangement light on the better halfs Fabia 1.4 came on today. She kissed a kerb parking and when she came back to the car and started the engine the management light came on. Once before the light came on and it was a wheel sensor for ABS. Any way I took it out and did several heavy brake runs just to make sure all was well. The brakes seem OK, but guess what? The light went out!!. Any Ideas what is going on?? All sugestions welcome.

Dont see how a wheel sensor would make the engine management light come on, ABS light yes, EML no.

Id get the fault codes read.

I found that once the engine management light came on it would often go out after a couple of runs. Lummox is right, get the codes read as that light comes on for a multitude of reasons.
