Does anybody know if it is possible to retrofit a satnav (MFD2) to an Octavia II which is without Maxidot?

I know that in factory order satnav requires the Maxidot but what is the case in retrofit, some cables are missing or...?

I think the only thing you lose if the display of the route info on the maxidot display, although this is also displayed on the HU just in a different format.

Supplementary question (sorry!):

If you do the MFDII upgrade, what happens regarding the display of reversing sensors? Presumably you still get the beeps, but no visual display like you do on the headunit?

As you say, you should still get the beeps but lose the display.
