Furby Jabba ARB and direct line....good combo?

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

After reading about the Furby and it's 'so so' handling, I have a question regarding fixing it and adding the mod to my policy.

I'll be sticking with Direct Line as they've been very good to me over the years and so I was wondering how much fitting the Jabba ARB would affect my policy with them in particular?

Adding the non std alloys to my BMW policy made it go up by about

I doubt that the excess would be affected any more, but the premium may go up a bit more.

After reading another one of your posts, do you actually work for an insurer mate? Just looked like you did that's all..... :)

So you reckon the excess wouldn't be affected but the overall premium may go up a bit?

This is taken from a totally boggo standard policy with no other 'mods'.

I know LV don't seem to care that much, I asked about springs/shocks, and ARB and a remap and I think the increase was under £50 for the eyar for the lot and that was it.

I never actaully did it in the end after deciding i would save the money for other things.

Yeah, I work in an insurance company in customer service. My feeling on it is that some mods carry a compulsory excess, such as aftermarket wheels (usually 100-150). This gets added on top of your voluntary excess. I've been off this last week, so I haven't been able to have a play around and see what it does. I'll try and remember to have a look when I get back to work.
