I don't have specific Sony experience -- I use an iPod/Dension ICE Link/Becker set up in my car that works fine, though I have had problems in the past.

Usually these units plug into the CD changer connection on the head unit, and fool the HU into thinking that a CD changer is fitted. That's why it's important to check the compatibility. Although your HU isn't listed, I'd suggest you check what CD changers it is compatible with, then see if those changers are also compatible with the units that are listed in the ad. If they are, then there is a pretty good chance that this interface will work for you (though I take no responsibility if it doesn't work :P ).

By way of example, before I had the Becker unit, I had a JVC "becker clone". Ah, becker clone I thought...since Dension didn't make a JVC version of the ICE Link, I bought the Becker model instead, reckoning that the CD changer interface would be the same. Well, it wasn't, and it didn't work, and I ended up selling the JVC and buying a "real" (and more expensive :o ) Becker.
