hi to all on this great site

if i disconnect the battery on my 1996 felicia 1.3 glxi,

will i have to have the ecu programed again.

or does it keep its settings for any length of time

thanks all in advance

Well i cant say for sure on your Felicia, but my 2002 vRS 1.8t was fine had it disconnected for about 45 mins, whilst fitting my CAI and had no problems with the ECU afterwards all the setting were fine and my REVO Remap was still there, only had to reset my digital clock!!!!!!!

Everthing should be fine, the only things will be the radio will need coding (if it is that type) and maybe the airbag light will need re-setting with diagnostic equipment.

You may require the throttle body resetting, but usually they are ok.

the settings on a normal ecu are stored on non-volatile memory which means that you can disconnect the battery and nothing will get erased other than any learned settings it has aquired.... but it soon re-learns these through normal driving.
