Locktite is this required?

Featured Replies

Hi

Just in the middle of a brake upgrade on the furby, having removed the carrier bolts it looks like they have some locktite compound or similar anti vibration stuff on them, I wasnt going to bother, just do them up nice and tight:)

Does anyone know if you need to use some sought of locktight for putting brakes back on?? In the middle of the job.....kettle on so advice would be helpful before reassembly

Thanks

If they've got some threadlock on them, I'd be tempted to do the same when refitting. Halfords do a small bottle for a couple of quid.
