Hiya :wave: never driven the 1.4 8v or 16v for that matter! The 1.2 12V is a nice motor as is the 1.4 pdi. The vRS is a cracker but if your looking at a 1.4 don't suppose that helps

nise i have a seat cupra sport but want 2 get rid of it. but i would love a vrs but i have motorbike hence geting a little fabia

1.4 does suffer a little with regards to leaks, mainly from the coolant temp sensor in the rad, easily solved with a seal.

Head gaskets are fairly common on early cars, but cheap and easy to do.
