Hi Everyone,

Just bought a two year old Skoda Fabia vRS and really love it! Great car. Got to have it serviced very soon. Does it have to be done at a Skoda Franchised location? Anyone got any recommendations for around the Gatwick area?

Thanks

Bradley

 good choice of car

Doesnt have to be done at a Skoda franchise, any VAT registered garage can do it. Probably less contention on any big warranty issues in the future if it's only ever been serviced by Skoda however.

If you get your local garage (non-skoda) to do it, ensure they use genuine VAG parts/approved fluids and follow the maintenance schedule to the letter.

My local place charges £25 for an oil change, if I supply the oil (PD approved) and a genuine Skoda filter, plus advise them of any torque settings etc.

Dealer charge is over a hundred!
