Sheffield branch say I'ts okay but wont give me the spec,chesterfield branch say they don't do it at all. Thinking of getting some carlube from local factors which i've been told is 505 01

You could order from Oilman on the forum. He should still be able to get it to you tomorrow. Don't take a chance on these service centres, they probably don't have a clue on oil for PD motors.

TBH these deals really are only for people with old bangors that are 10's of thousands of miles overdue their service... e.g. a 1.1 Fiesta etc.

I bought Quantum (=VAG) PD oil from the local VW dealer. I'm sorry I can't quote the exact price but it was very competitive and undercut Opie (and a local factor's 505.01).

Moral: try the obvious source before going farther afield.
