Hi

I think it could be the master cylinder.

It is a common fault on this car.

If it is it could a while for this to happen again.

skoda have not got a clue what to do about but have agreed to change the master cylinder is there a new type of master cylinder that does not have this fault or is it just luck:mad:

Hi

Yes I do believe it to be a superceeded part

Had exactly the same problem on my O3 Octavia Vrs. Garage changed the master cylinder. I have had no problems since.

What is involved in changing this? Big job or DIY? Rough cost...?

Just curious! :)

Not to big a job, the pedal and its box come out as one part. Held in by three bolts. Getting to the pipes in the engine bay can be tricky depending on engine type.
