Boosting the POWER!!

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Just got back from the local SKoda dealership (its literally 5mins walk from my house) as had an invite to the launch of the Roomster.

Anyway, I got talking to the manager there, and he told me that he can arrange to get my car chipped. My question is, how much power am I likely to get with Revo?

I have myself a 2.0 TDi 140.

Also any other pointers / facts / info / problems anyone wants to share, please add it to this thread.

Kind regards and thanks in advance to all who reply.

Regards

SJ - soon to have more power hopefully.

I thought the torque on the 2.0 TDi 140 was around the 320lb mark - as standard?

Does this mean it goes higher?

320Nm standard ;)

which is about 236lbft

so a gain of about 50lbft and 45bhp. nice.

Ah i see now, thanks for the replies so far.

Keep em coming guys and gals.

I made the choice to get a Dragon module to plug into the car. Still gives me 175 BHP for £250, but gives me the option to change settings of the car (fuel economy or performance) and is removable for future sale of the car or when you have the car serviced. Not sure if Dragon do a moduel for the 140 Superb though.

Not sure if they do one for the Superb as yet as its not the same engine as the Octavia 2.0 TDi.

I've heard mixed reviews about Revo.

When i had a Seat Leon Cupra a few friends of mine from another forum had theirs done. Several reported problems with sudden gains and drops in power.

I'm not slating Revo, just going from those that have it.

SJ - time to change the torque claims in your user profile, I think ;)

Where in Hampshire is this chip-happy dealer BTW ?

Cheers,

Si
