EGR Valve Hose Removed ?

Featured Replies

Hi, Looking for advice on a 1.9tdi with turbo problems, The car was in the garage to get the turbo fixed( It was loosing power) and when i went to collect it i was charged for a new switch/sensor. The mechanic also said that he had disconnected a vacuum pipe from the top of the EGR valve and i should get no more problems from it, I wasnt aware of these two things being related, or am i wrong

The N75 (boost solenoid) and the EGR solenoid are the same type of unit mounted on the bulkhead. You can swap these valves over if the N75 fails although it shouldnt be left like ti, more for diagnostic purposes.

However I would think if the problem re occurs its a sticky turbo causing your hassles.

How can i tell if these valves have bees swapped over and is it likely to damage the engine if left uncorrected.
