CD Changer problem

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm new here and I'm also an idiot.

I have a 2002 Octavia vRS and in a hurry this morning I put the CD changer cartridge in the wrong way round. It is now stuck.

Is it ok for me to stick a screw driver in and wrench it out or should I give it to a specialist.

Kind Regards

Snez

PS. I'm loving this forum.

Phew, fixed it, wasn't in the wrong way it had just jammed.

stuck a knife in the top left corner and gave it a wiggle.

my CD changer keeps sticking, forcing the head unit into 'Mechanic' mode.

I need to take it out for a bit of a clean -or just buy an mp3 player. Only 6 CDs? What's that all about?

Yep, mine said mechanic on it. Thought I'd put the changer in wrong but it was just jammed. Don't wanna get an MP3 head unit just yet as I don't mind the standard Skoda jobbie, it's much better than the BMW business one in my old 325ti.
