Clock resetting

Featured Replies

Hi,

I own an 03 Skoda Superb 2.5 Elegance.

At least once a week, the clock and trip milage seem to reset themselves. This usually happens whilst the car is parked. However, the other day whilst driving, I noticed it reset itself. Basically it looks like I have turned the ignition off and on again. All the warning lights come on, and the rev counter and speedo start returning to zero, before kicking in again. Then it all seems normal apart from the clock and trip mileage being zero.

It's more of an annoyance than a problem.

Any advice gratefully received,

Cheers.

I had this on my last car and it turned out to be a 1 Amp fuse.

Not saying this is your problem mate, but its worth checking for nothing!

Thanks for the advice.

How can a fuse cause the problem to re-occur. I thought a blown fuse is a blown fuse and it would not work until I replaced it?

Where is this fuse?

I've had the same problem with my Fabia, mostly while parked, but once when parking and once at traffic lights.

I would be interested in any knowledgeable replies. Thanks.
