i keep getting several fault codes coming up on my 54 plate vrs,when i reset them all is fine.....for a few days,i seem to be down on power/speed as i can only get 120mph out in germany on autoban,it is also very sluggish at times and you cant always hear the boost valve hiss,generally the engine warning light will come on after youve driven fairly hard then slowed down as if to go into a 30 limit

has anyone any ideas?

or is it best to get the dealer to look at it?

and my mate said if a engine warning light was on and the codes reset and nothing after found u pay the bill is this true? if under warrenty?

First off, what were the fault codes?, without these we would be guessing.

If the car does not have an apparent fault, no warning lights on and no obvious running problems the garage cannot put in a claim and expect to be paid for doing nothing to it in the way of repairs. Obviously this will take up workshop time which will have to be accounted for. Quite often the diagnosis time is included in the repair time and certainly for obscure faults is inadequate, it is quite common that the garage spends more time than that they can claim. Also you can't really road test for this fault under the conditions that you describe.
