The Belgian dealer called unannounced this morning, my Octy II Combi just has arrived today, two weeks earlier than the date stated when I ordered it on 6th August ...

It is the first 4x4 2.0 Tdi delivered for Belgium. But the salesman told me that it will take about a week to process the technical and admin preparation.

Any advice at this point ? It's the first vehicle I purchased new. It is also my frist Skoda.

My Octy 2.0 TDi Hatch Sport should arrive in two days. It's my 5th new car, and 9th car in total. I've never had a Skoda but owned 7 VW's and one Toyota. As Skoda is VW I can only say the best about it. My father is an old man and he owns Fabia. He owned many cars in his life, many of them VW's. It's his first Skoda and he says for him it's just like VW. Reliable, well constructed and durable. He loves it. One friend of mine has Octy1 with 200.000 km on the clock and said has never had to fix anything on it, just regular services and parts.

You'll se that having a new car is somethig especial. Whatever goes wrong, there is 2 years waranty. Just one very important advice. During those 2 years don't modify anything nor go to any non-Skoda service. It would invalidate your waranty. Respect maintenance schedule and you'll see how things go smooth. If there is anything on the car that you consider wrong, broken, missing or else, go to your dealer and complain. They have to fix it. Insist always with them, you have the right to do so.
