Tell your local dealer that if they want it for 14k rather than the advertised price, then you'll be taking your custom elsewhere If they want the sale, they'll bend over backwards......

i was thinking of that but they more or less said if you want at the cheaper price then youd have to go buy it there as they need to cover their delivery and used car check!

Exactly, they aint going to bother selling a car if there is no profit in it.

Then you either pay them to drive the car and "inspect it", or vote with your feet and go and buy the car yourself and save

fair enough then, i just thought that skoda had it mapped out like ford direct so you could order off any dealer at the same price. theres little point in me using the local one unless they can get a car direct from skoda that isnt in another dealer. ho hum

anyone else got any comments about allbrandsnew? any major pitfalls that ive not found yet as it does seem too good to be true at that price.

I wouldn't buy through them - at that price they're making a decent profit anyway.
