The Quest For Power

Featured Replies

To what lengths will the modifying fraternity go to get more power, and more to the point has anyone made any ridiculous sacrifice to squeeze out a few more 'horses'?.

Ummm - gone quite far to increase my power 120% from stock. :D

Nah I'm too sensible and just put the money aside to buy a faster car ;)

Where's the fun in that.

Mr. Fish, as you know there is very little interior left in the back of my car, does that count. Oh and the air-con has now gone as well. The in-car noise has risen a tad which will probably rise a bit more once it hits 9k rpm.

........and Jason will still be trailing in my wake. :P

Not exactly, but I am interested to what lengths some go to to eek out that little bit extra.

Des is a perfect example although can be immediately discounted as he is not a normal sane human (I believe there is a mutant strain involved somewhere in the equation). :P

well, i had 5 different sets of camshafts custom-ground to my spec by newman cams for my lupo, untill i got it just right. but i do know sombody that works there so it was a little cheaper:rolleyes:

and i must have tried about 10 different lengths of intake trumpets for the throttle bodies on the dyno.

Its a shame Skoda dont let you buy cars part-finished on in a Type-RA condition. Would be much easier for people to create what they wanted.
