engine fault light on again

Featured Replies

i ve finally got my code reader through the post today yipee,

its come out with the following faults,17545,16490,17705 and 16622 i ve cleared all the faults but although the light is out it is still comming up with the 16622 one, the car is still well sluggish thou. the last time my mate cleared these codes they were back on within two weeks, anyone got any sudjestions?

I've had all of those and changed the Vacuum hose at the front of the block to solve the 16490 and 17545 then changed intercooler hose to solve the rest.

There is a thread in the octavia section called "where does this hose go" (or similar) that goes into the 17705 in some detail - worth searching for it and reading it in full.

would these class as warrenty jobs as i m still in my warrenty period? just wondering as how much it would cost cause i m too busy in work to mess around with my car when i come home, i ve just done two more runs after resetting the fault codes and it still comes up with 16622 16490 17705

Yes it is a warranty issue, get it booked in an sorted.

As mentioned above 17705 etc are well covered on here allready.

As Lummox says the 17705 has been mentioned on numerous occasions, I get the impression theres about 3 or more things that could cause this error. A 17705 search will yeild loads of results :)

Old thread but my symptoms are the same. Sometimes my 2003 vrs 75000 miles on clock jerks little when Im accelerating gently. After this happends I get codes 16622, 17705, 16490. I have changed MAP sensor and 3 split vacuum hoses. At my local workshop they checked other hoses and didnt find any other splits or leaks. What should I try next? Otherwise car is running nicely but sometimes jerks little.
