So I have a standard Fabia with just the two front speakers, and I've just replaced the HU with a Sony CDX GT300. I'd like to upgrade the front speakers with something a bit better quality, but nothing too pricey. My question is, how do I get at the front speakers? I've taken the three torx screws off the bottom of the door, but it still feels quite firmly stuck on, are there some more screws somewhere? I've tried searching the forum but can't find any useful guides on getting the door cards off. Am I right in thinking there's another screw somewhere under the door handle?

Yep three screws behind the handle and one behind the mirror switch/blank.

Thanks for the link, very useful. Im wondering whether it would be easier to just put some speakers in the back and leave the doors alone? Or does it sound much better if you put speakers in the front doors? The only reason I ask is because I don't especially want to break anything by taking the door apart...

Porblem with that is you are sat at the front so any gain by having better speakers at the back will be lost by the crap ones by you.

Thought about letting someone do it for you? Where abouts are you?

Im down in Sussex, near Crawley. Does playing with the door create any risk of leaks? If not I dont mind doing it myself.

Not if your just doing speakers providing that they seal to the inner carrier.

Is the crossover a proper box or just an inline capacitor.

If it is a proper box i put in inder the seats in an old car and ran wires to it and from it under the carpets. Worked spot on and you couldn't tell anything was fitted until you switched it on

There is room behind the door trim on the Fabia.

Useful to knnow that as I havn't put any speakers into a furby as yet.
