304 members!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hi to all the new folk!

It's a tribute to the Briskoda team!

And, furthermore, you've got all these subscribers -AND STILL NO ADVERTS!

Well done!

Phil

Thanks for the welcome! Joined yesterday in anticipation of March 1st delivery of new black vRS estate. Only my second ever new car - first was a Calibra 4x4 Turbo in 1992! Great car when it worked - very expensive when it didn't. Hoping for better with the vRS - looking forward to seeing what it can do when I'm driving it on my own - thought the vRS Estate would be a good compromise between a decent car for me and something which the whole family can use (including plenty of room for baby!).

I'll keep you posted regarding driving/reliability etc.

Cheers,

Rob.

Welcome!

Not long to wait then Rob, are you getting excited yet? So, a black estate, sounds nice. I still haven't seen one yet so if you could post photos I'd be grateful. What options did you go for on it, if any?

Sorry for the questions!

Yes, looking forward to it a lot - we're part exchanging my wife's Ford Cougar which we will be sad to see go, but we can't put any baby seats in it - hence the new car! I'm still keeping my Mondeo for a bit of boring, sensible driving.

The only option we went for on the vRS (apart from the black paint) was the parking sensors - not very exciting I know but don't want to dent it in Safeways carpark! The only other black car I had was the aforementioned Calibra - it had terrible paint quality though - the first time I cleaned it even the soft brush I used managed to put scratches all over it! Hoping that the Skoda 'black magic' paint is better - if it's 'magic' then perhaps it is self-cleaning!!!

I was quite impressed that things such as the vRS floor mats and the locking nuts are all standard - all had to be paid for on our previous Ford and Vauxhall cars.

I'll post some photos asap.

I don't mind the questions at all - it's great to have a site such as briskoda.net - I could really have done with a similar forum for the Calibra to discuss all its problems (too numerous to mention).

Cheers,

Rob.

Welcome Rob :thumb:

Ah a new Black vRS estate or hatch the colour and the badge are there. 8) Not that i am a badge snob or anything.

Would be nice to see you and car at the next meet, just pray that i am not organizing it (we will never meet).

Nice one.

PS

I'll explain later.

A hearty welcome to all new members. I can remember when we had about 3 members.

In time the founding fathers will be remembered with a fond tear in the eye, as those that broke out from the great oppressor, the one known as VWVortex.

Sorry but writing b******s is a very good thing to do now and then, I should know!!

To all new members, membership is never complete without a Briskoda.Net window sticker. This is a law decreed by the founding fathers and is worthy of obeying!!

Oh and if you do get one, it is considered both improper and shameful to pass another Skoda :driving: (of whatever persuation - read the article about "Is your Skoda Gay") displaying said sticker, without tooting furiously, waving  (more than 1 or 2 fingers), smile and generally make some Noize :speaker: .

Good, hope that's clear......

PS

I'll explain later.

Just waving at the new members.
