Cannot see LCD displays in poor light

Featured Replies

Can anyone help?

I find it very difficult to read the LCD panel between the rev counter and speedo in poor light (i.e. no sunlight falling on the LCD but not dark enough to turn lights on). Similarly, when I am parking in a multi storey car park or somewhere else where it is quite dark I can hear the rear parking sensors but cannot see them on the radio/CD display.

Is there some way to illuminate both these panels without the need to switch on the lights? It would make life so much easier.

By the way, what is the difference between Illum. 1 and Illum. 2 that can be set from the menus on the radio/CD display?

I find this to, so just turn the headlights to pos.1 the sidelights.

Illum1, when headlights are on and stereo off, only the volume kn0b is illumintated.

Illum2, as above except all buttons are illumintated.
