New Felicia owner

Featured Replies

Hi Folks

Well, having spent many years with an ultra reliable mk2 Astra, it succumbed to rust and would need serious welding for the MOT. Then I got offered a p reg Felicia with just 20k on the clock for a ludicrous price. It seems a really solid car, thankfully not a spot of rust and it's quite nippy. There's a few things I need to check out, so hopefully other members can offer some advice (I'll post in the felicia section). I've been reading here since I got the Felicia, it's a great site and really useful! Thanks.

Cheers for now

Ian

Hey! welcome to briskoda:thumbup:

good choice on the felicia- We have a 1.3 mpi, and have done nearly 32k in 20 months- with little problem! the handling can be "entertaining" though:D

sericing is easy, parts are generally cheap and easy enough to replace.

btw a rattling noise frrom the engine is likely to be incorrectly set tappets for teh valves, about 40mins, a haynes manual and some basic tools cures that-makes her a revvy lil bugger too:rofl:

Cheers, yep I reckon the tappets need doing, pretty noisy esp when hot for some reason. Probably never been done. Nice car though as you say.
