Steering

Featured Replies

It has got on my bloody nerves tonight to be honest. Only when i turn to the right, do i hear a screeching/rubbing sound.

Now, When going around a roundabout, the 'steering' makes very quiet noises.

Any idea from anyone, what it could be?

Are you lowered?

If you are then it could be the steering arm touching the ARB on full lock. It could also be early signs of a top bearing failure.

Nope. Not lowered. The car is 5 months old. Could it wear out this quick?

I think, listening to it in closer detail. Might have something to do with the foam that was wrapped around the steering colomn. I'll give it more of a chance. But a top bearing failure would be pretty poor on a car this old.

doubt its wearing out, mines up to 55k of learner abuse ('05 car) and still going without wierd noises,(apart from the new gearbox I had! ) and it gets driven into bricks/hedges ect! lol....

must be an anomoly....

Yeah I was more pointing toward that if you were lowered.
