Just an update following on from this thread:

I now have the car back in my possession and all is well. :D

HUGE thanks to WW_VRS for his old turbo. Very much appreciated and I owe you a cold one.

The exhaust note seems noticably louder than before the old turbo failure, but I ain't complaining. Might be cause I havn't heard it for a while.

As for what actually caused the original failure I'm not sure yet as I didn't pick the car up from the garage, although I should find out tomorrow.

I wish to thank you all for your support and best wishes.

Good news...

About time, hope to see you sat.

Yes mate I'll do my best to attend!

good news, hope you like it. Will you need another remap now to accomodate the new turbo?

Glad I could help you ;)

It's a standard turbo you got there, not had a map on it, just about 10k miles before I swapped mine to a hybrid :D

nice on Harry :)

I'm definately changing remaps the sooner the better

Just taking it easy for a bit then I'll be having a drive down to Peterborough, for a serious overhaul shall we say. ;)

I'm sure you'll be eager to hear the outcome of that aswell Hellfire, I'll keep you updated.

Jabbasport then? Be very interesting to hear what you get. I must take mine down there soon. Once everything is fitted. Should be next week at the latest.

I will indeed Harry, you know how much I love that motor of yours .

I have to say mate, if it's JabbaSport then I think you'll be very impressed. I really like my remap with them, very progressive and touch wood no issues because of it yet (still considering removing it to ensure issues would be minimised).

Chris.

Happy motoring Harry
